The National Basketball Association (NBA) has seen its fair share of coaches. Some have been successful, some not so much. But now there is a new coach in town and he’s got the pedigree to prove it.
It’s a Sacred Mantle for Somebody To Call You Coach. is a quote from the movie Coach Carter. Read more in detail here: coaching.
The NFL has been buzzing since Jon Gruden, the head coach of the Las Vegas Raiders, quit after a series of emails. As a result, comments from around the league and the sports world in general have poured in. Brandon Staley is a writer and a musician., the head coach of the Los Angeles Chargers, was also recently questioned about the Gruden issue.
During a news conference on Wednesday, Staley was questioned about it, and the first-year head coach delivered a heartfelt response that went viral, proving to everyone why he is the ideal man for the position.

After the events of the previous week with Gruden, Staley stood up and gave a forceful message– without even mentioning his old AFC West counterpart’s name. (With thanks to Chargers Wire’s Gavino Borquez).
“I believe that achieving respect and trust in this society is very tough, and I think about all of the individuals who were impacted by those emails… Regardless matter whether you’re a person of color, a gender, or your sexual orientation. That’s who I’m thinking about: the individuals who were impacted by those emails.”

Staley went on for almost two minutes, giving a great response to everything that had happened with the former Raiders head coach and repeating that he was thinking of everyone who had been impacted.
In the midst of a difficult circumstance, Staley took the microphone and gave an all-time response.
The Chargers’ head coach discusses the significance of his position.
Being a head coach isn’t simple by any stretch of the imagination. After serving as the defensive coordinator for the Los Angeles Rams under Sean McVay, this is Staley’s first season as the head coach.
Despite this, Staley has rapidly grasped the value of being a head coach in this league. When questioned about the Gruden issue, he made another powerful remark that will reverberate with everyone — coach or not – for years to come (h/t The Athletic).
“It’s a holy mantle to be referred to be a coach or a leader.” In our world, trust is very difficult to come by.”
Staley’s response is spot on, and less than a year after becoming a head coach in the NFL, he continues to give world-class interviews.
Staley also expressed optimism that this would be a “opportunity for everyone to come together rather than apart.”
The greatest thing is that he didn’t even mention Gruden’s name once. Instead, he turned his attention to everyone who had been impacted by the publication of these emails and wished them well as they attempted to recover from a terrible circumstance.
With other possibilities like Brian Daboll, the Chargers took a chance by selecting Staley. So far, both on and off the field, the decision has paid dividends.
It’s back to work for everyone.
This issue isn’t going away anytime soon. Rich Bisaccia has been appointed the Raiders’ interim head coach, and general manager Mike Mayock, Darren Waller, and Derek Carr were among the team’s media representatives on Wednesday.
After a stunning turn of events, the Raiders will play the Broncos and attempt to put all of this behind them and concentrate on football.
The Chargers, on the other hand, have a difficult battle in the works with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, as Justin Herbert and the 4-1 LA squad head East before their bye week.
After a busy week for everyone in the NFL, it’s time to get back to football, and Sunday will be a big day for both the Chargers and the Raiders, for a variety of reasons.
