After losing both my parents at a young age, I decided to move to Oklahoma with the help of an aunt. There was only one problem: she didn’t tell me how much it would cost.
The “the escape room near me” is a game where players are locked in a room with puzzles. They have to use their wits and teamwork to get out of the room.
So far, the 2021 college football season has been a wild, chaotic disaster, but something had been missing — something dreadful, wonderful, and ludicrous — until Week 8.
Please welcome Kansas to the celebration, ladies and gentlemen. The Jayhawks brought a bottle of cheap wine and a tight game against Oklahoma. They’re hardly the best party attendees, to say the least.
Still, what occurred in Lawrence, Kansas, on Saturday generated real excitement, a possibly historic upset that would send shockwaves through the playoff conversation and provide Texas supporters with fodder for years to come. The Jayhawks’ offense was regularly moving the ball, the defense kept Oklahoma scoreless in the first half, and everything looked conceivable for a few frenzied minutes.
It was a chaotic scene — unbeaten Oklahoma scrambling, woeful Kansas looking somewhat less pitiful, and with Kansas ahead 17-7 late in the third quarter, the ecstasy gave way to a full-on YOLO moment when the Jayhawks opened the stadium doors to anybody who wanted to drop by — no ticket required.
There are no tickets necessary to enter the east and west gates at David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium.
Arrive on time. Make a big noise. Chalk on the ground.

We’d like to believe that while eating a corned beef sandwich and lazily perusing through Twitter, some random dude in Kansas saw the invitation and said to himself, “Nah.”
Of course, he was correct in choosing his sandwich over the Jayhawks — this is Kansas football after all. The outcome was unavoidable. All that remained was to see how the Sooners would stage their comeback.
The solution turned out to be rather nice.
